About

I’m a product of southern West Virginia, where I spent my childhood playing sports and music, swimming in the Greenbrier River, and exploring the fields and forests that make that region unique. I moved to Huntington, W.Va. in 1993 to attend Marshall University and this is where I have stayed. I came to faith in Christ here. I met my wife Jennifer here, and we are now raising our two daughters in this community. God also has called us to share His love here.

Over the years I’ve come to understand I can’t do this thing myself … being a follower of Jesus, husband, father, pastor … and the more I’ve learned to trust in Him, the more I see Him at work in and through me. It’s a humbling, rewarding journey.

I’ve worked in corporate public relations and marketing. I’ve volunteered in church ministries. I’ve been an assistant pastor, and currently I’m serving as the lead pastor of Pea Ridge Baptist Church. God has given me a love for the towns of Huntington and Barboursville, and He has decided to plant our family here, right where West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio intersect. We’re on an adventure, and we’re learning all over again how important it is to live by faith, and how trustworthy God is.
